A Speedmaster with the caliber 3861 in 39 mm? Excellent! It's a bit like wanting a DeLorean, but without the time travel option (although, with a Speedmaster, you're still in history), it's the "First Omega in Space", a reissue of the Speedmaster CK 2998 that traveled into space in 1962 on the wrist of Walter Schirra. So if you're tired of watches that have never seen anything other than offices and trendy cafes, this one has a stellar CV. An ultra-classy blue-gray dial, "Alpha" hands with Super-LumiNova (because reading the time in the dark is an underestimated superpower). And of course, it's powered by the caliber 3861, a hyper-precise Master Chronometer co-axial movement, antimagnetic up to 15,000 gauss. Let me tell you that even if you're caught in an electromagnetic storm in orbit (or right next to a big magnet), it will continue to turn. On the back, you have a seahorse medallion (because we like cool details), and the words "THE FIRST OMEGA IN SPACE", just to remind you that this watch has an intergalactic pedigree. In short, it's a Speedmaster that has everything a big one has, except the 42 mm diameter. If you want the elegance of a Moonwatch with a historical twist and a slightly more compact format, this is clearly an excellent choice. Want one? Better hurry up before it becomes as rare as a first class seat on a flight to Mars.
